Rodeo Season!

It's getting close to that time of year when the IGRA rodeos start up across North America. If you've never been to one, you're missing a weekend of serious fun; I strongly recommend going to www.igra.com and see which one is closest to you, because it's something I have no doubt whatsoever you will enjoy.

And a special shout-out to my friends at Alberta Rockies Gay Rodeo Association, whose incredible weekends straddle Canada Day and the Fourth of July. Theirs is a weekend long camping adventure, the likes of which just do not compare anywhere on the circuit. Go. Trust me on this. Just go.

  1. Last time I checked, ten Canadian gallons were about 45.5 litres - same as in the UK. Also gallons are officially recognised in Canada, but not in Britain, which is officially metric (so you don't buy 1Lb of apples, you buy ~450g; you don't buy 1Pt of milk, you buy ~570ml).

  2. @ Tardy: Gallons in Canada are imperial gallons, which are slightly different in size from the American version. Hence, the difference. :-)
