I still remember, in Sunday School as a child, having to sing the hymn that goes...
"Yield not to temptation, for yielding is sin; Each victory will help you some other to win; Fight manfully onward, dark passions subdue... etc"
... and wondering about those "dark Passions". They sounded great to me!
A radio preacher is supposed to once have said in his on-air sermon that there were only 299 (?) ways of committing sin, but an infinite number of ways of doing good. He was deluged with mail asking for a list of the 299 (?) ways of committing sin, presumably from people who were afraid they might be missing out on something!
